How do People and Policy Makers learn about and form opinions on conservation issues

Project type

PhD Research Project

Date

Ongoing

Location

University of Gloucestershire

There’s a lot of misinformation around emotionally charged conservation issues like culls and trophy hunting. This ongoing project explores where people get their information on these topics, who they trust, and how factors like morals, religious beliefs, and scientific evidence shape their opinions. The goal is to identify where scientific evidence needs to be shared, who should share it, and how it should be framed to reduce misinformation and build public support for evidence-based conservation policies.
